The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Bangalore has launched a platform for entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to investors.

AnthahPrerana is an initiative that will recognise entrepreneurs for their vision, innovation, the articulation and the path to realising their vision and innovation. It is NOT a business plan competition though the business viability and feasibility will be a factor in this recognition. It is a competition that will acknowledge, and reward, the future potential of the entrepreneur.

The programme, called Anthah Prerana, evaluates the business viability and feasibility of early stage startups solving customer pain points. Out of 150 applicants, ten startups were shortlisted to attend a three-day offsite bootcamp and enroll for a 90-day accelerator programme, following which each would receive Rs 50,000 in cash. “The idea is to celebrate the spirit ofentrepreneurship and the evangelical zeal to make it happen,” said Sanjay Anandaram, venture partner in Seedfund.

Bangalore has in the recent past seen the emergence of several startup mentoring and accelerator programmes, as also events where startups get an opportunity to showcase themselves to investors.
